To better serve individuals who have experienced trauma, PTSD, and associated challenges, I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). These specialized certifications demonstrate my commitment to utilizing research-supported interventions that have proven successful in promoting healing and resilience.

​Throughout my career, I have garnered valuable experience in diverse practice settings, including outpatient therapy, graduate assistance, treatment foster care case management, and medical social work. This breadth of experience has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of the unique needs and circumstances of individuals from various backgrounds.

Hey there, I'm Holly Essler, a therapist and the proud owner of Empowering You Therapy LLC. Originally from North Dakota, I made my way to the beautiful state of Arizona back in 2018. The sunny weather and the beauty of the outdoors have been a huge inspiration for me.

In my own downtime, you'll find me enjoying the company of my husband, my beautiful newborn son and my golden retriever Murphy. Whether it's hiking, skiing, or the excitement of travel, exploring nature rejuvenates my spirit. I also enjoy working out (love lifting heavy weights), reading and baking. Laughter is a must for me, it's an essential ingredient in the recipe of life!
